Magazine - October

Section 1: Hi World!

I think this part isn't as interesting as the cinema or crazy parts. I find it quite boring apart from the book of the month "It's not you, it's me" by Kerry Cohen. This book talks about... "After 6 months and 218 kisses, Zoe is heartbroken when Henry, her boyfriend, suddenly dumps her. Henry says he doesn't want a girlfriend because he wants to focus on his band. Zoe's best friends invent a plan to help her to get him back. They plan to make Henry jealous, but things don't go exactly as they imagined...". I think it's a good book so why don't we try to read it?

New vocabulary:
To dump: deixar

Section 2: Cinema & Music

This part talks about new arrivals in cinemas and singers who have hit a new single. For example, the most interesting part is the new movie "Everest" which says:"Based on the terrible Mount Everest Disaster of 1996 when eight people trying to reach* the summit* died in a blizzard*. The two expedition groups were guided by experienced climbers and they all showed great courage and determination to survive. But nothing could have prepared them for Everest..." I think it'll be a film where a lot of people will suffer while watching it but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Then, there's a new singer called Omi, who has hit a new single "Cheerleader" which has already made him an international star. The song is a kind of reggae and other genres of music. It's a funny song, so go and listen to it!
